I sat next to Bill White (above) and Dr. Mike Lano during the big Saturday Night Awards Banquet. Bill White told me a bunch of great stories about things that happened during his career and about his time working for Roy Shire in the mid-sixties. He was in Northern California for awhile and called Roy out of the blue to see if Roy could use him while he was out here. Roy told him to show up to do Sacramento TV that week (then on KCRA Channel3) and his first match out here was a very good match against Ray Stevens.

Group #1 - For a few minutes on Saturday evening while everyone was dressed-up for the Awards Banquet, all of the wrestlers and referees were asked to gather in one corner of the room to get photos of the whole group. Unfortunately, it was the darkest corner of the room and it is a little hard to see the people towards the rear in these photos. Next year I am going to bring some flood lights so we have some good light for photos. In the front row - that is Miss Bunny Love who is on the left edge of the photo, and next to her is her husband, Paul Christy. Miss Bunny Love was Christy's Manager during his wrestling days. Next, with the crutches, is Tom Andrews (The Interns), I don't know the next guy, and then I think that is Omar Atlas. If you recognize any of the other people in any of these photos, please let me know who they are so I can fill-in their names. Please use the photo numbers (Group #1) so I know which photos you are talking about.
Thanks Steve Johnson, George Schire, George Gunderson and Chris Parsons for helping me ID people so far!

(Group #2) - That is Stu Hart sitting in the wheelchair on the right and that is Bruce Hart to the left of Stu. Behind Bruce in the white jacket is Jack Brisco. To the left is B. Brian Blair in the dark suit and then Omar Atlas in the grey suit. If you can identify any of the others, please let me know!

(Group #3) - In the front row, left to right - Miss Bunny Love, Paul Christy, Tom Andrews. Right behind Tom Andrews is Bill White. Left of White is Angelo Savolvi. Sitting directly behind Miss Bunny Love is Cousin Luke (Gene Pettit.) Can anyone help me with the others?
(Thanks Steve Johnson, George Schire, George Gunderson, Chris Parsons and Gary Michael Capetta for helping with ID's)
Several people there this weekend said that the Cauliflower Alley Club is really a big family. Being there for my first reunion, I could easily see how true that was. Some of the people worked and others watched, but they all shared the experiences together. In most cases, this sharing went on for 20, 30 or even 60 years, seeing each other grow up and get older. Everyone was so nice and friendly to each other, and even though I did not know many of the people there when I arrived, I made a lot of new friends and I will definitely be back next year.

Me with Dr. Mike Lano. Dr. Lano is one of Pro Wrestling's greatest (and nicest) photographers. He also writes a weekly wrestling column in the San Francisco Examiner and hosts a weekly TV show about professional wrestling. I don't know think anyone has had more photos published than Dr. Lano in the past twenty years. It looked like he took several hundred photos at the reunion -- I wish I had his energy.

Jack Brisco was at the Wrestling Memorabilia Show to autograph photos for everyone. He was a very nice guy. I saw him wrestle many times when I was living in Florida. The photo in front of him is the cover of a book he wrote which will be released soon.
