Peter Maivia relaxes in the back while he waits for his match to start. I took this photo in 1971.

Pat Patterson went to the State Capitol in 1976 and started clearing the halls of the Capitol of all of the ________ . (Fill in the blank with whatever name you use for politicians.) He was caught here by one of the newspapers throwing out the Lt. Governor, Mervyn Dymally. This clipping was from The Salinas Californian. Thanks to Nito Gomez for sending it in.
.

One more photo of Miss Wrestling #4 I think. This may have been Antonio Rocca's first TV match out here, because I have photos of him interviewing with Hank Renner after his first appearance. It was more of just an introduction and "good luck" type of interview.

That is George Harris III running into the corner and Paul Diamond in the air. This is another one of those photos where I wish I had some notes to tell me what was going on. I guess Paul Diamond was standing on the top rope and George Harris III charged at him to knock him down? The fans seem to be very amused. Harris was also known as "Crybaby" Harris and "Two Ton" Harris.

Pampero Firpo (Karach Manion)
Hank Renner tries to hold a conversation with Pampero Firpo, also known as The Great Pampero, "The Wild Bull of the Pampas." He really was from Argentina. Michael Rodgers, publisher of Ring Around the Northwest, recently printed a very interesting interview with Pampero Firpo. It was fascinating to read what he is really like. I didn't know him, but after reading the interview, I wish I had. He sounds like a really interesting guy.

While Billy Graham begs Pepper Martin for a little mercy, Pepper shows him his answer on the bottom of his boot. This was part of a Six-Man Tag Team Match at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium.

Pat Patterson (under the hood) and Dr. Ken Ramey work over Rocky "Soulman" Johnson during a match at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium.

Mr. Paul DeMarco holds down Ray Stevens as he looks up and sees someone coming off the top rope.

My notes say this was a Six-Man Elimination Match in Sacramento and it must have also been a Lumberjack Match because The Mighty Brutus (Mike Davis) is on the right, in front of me, and Mr. Paul DeMarco is leaning on the mat on the other side (between Pat's boots with the paper cup.) In the ring, Ray Stevens has jumped off the top rope and is going for a pin over Pat Patterson.

Heel Pat Patterson is declared the winner by referee Frank Nocetti on Big Time Wrestling.

World Tag Team Champions Peter Maivia and Ray Stevens double-team The Masked Gladiator.

Ray Stevens stomps on The Masked Gladiator's arm during a World Tag Championship Match. That is Pat Patterson on the right.
