Coast from MacKinnon’s Brook Mouth

This picture is taken from the mouth of MacKinnon’s Brook looking up the coast. The water is quite shallow at the mouth, which is full of rocks, but gets deep only a bit further out off shore. The point you see in the far distance is not Sight Point, but another point on the upper flank of Beinn Bhiorach. The rock face shows how the erosion of the wind, water, and ice works by carving out an area below the top, leaving it ultimately to collapse, as the several slabs in the water show has occurred in the past. This erosive action is what makes it so dangerous to approach the cliffs closely in the Meadows (and elsewhere along the coast).
