Descending Beinn Bhiorach

Taken 2005 August 17 while descending Beinn Bhiorach.

This photograph shows the Beinn Bhiorach Trail as it goes over the hump on the side of Beinn Bhiorach, which I call “Little Benny”. It has a meadow surrounded by evergreens through which the trail passes. If one is climbing rather than descending, this is a lovely spot at which to catch one’s breath before the final, wrenching assault on “Big Benny” himself! There are no trail markers here, but none are needed as the way forward is obvious.
