Hello Venita,

I was happy to find the contact between us on your Family  history file. I am related to John Massie and Jane Rainie, who's daughter Jane married Alexander  Mitchie  . Jane's brother Forbes is the line I am related through. Forbes Massie is my GG Grandfather. Great to make connections. Happy to give further information should your wish.

Regards

Irene Wilson.

I love your Welsh site! Our ancestors are from Wales. Came to American around 1860's. David E. Evans and his wife Mary Morgan b. 1835 Glamorgan, Merthyr Tydfil.

Very soon is my aunt's birthday and she will be near 90. How do you say Happy Birthday in Welsh? I wish my family had kept the language going. I live in South Texas.

Thank you for hosting your wonderful website.

Good Morning,

I found your family website with the photos from the Hans Larsen family.  You have done a wonderful job.  I would love to know who has the originals of these photos.  Do you have any idea?  My husband descends through Mary Magdalene Larsen Oblad.

Thank you,

Monica

Thank you Venita for directing us to your home page and giving us the opportunity to see those wonderful pictures of Wales. I particularly enjoyed viewing the photos that you took of Wales. They are beautiful. Seeing them I felt as though I were there. I visited Wales in 1984 before I started doing family history research. My husband and I are scheduled to return this September for a two-week stay. I can't wait.

Thanks again.

My name is Shauna Eccles.  My great grandfather/mother are Joseph Elmer Lewis/Mary Vernia Moon.  Joseph being the son of Daniel Bowen Lewis (1863-1941) and Mercy Harriet Lambert.  I am just getting started in family history and want to do it right.  I would love to have a copy of your gedcom file for my records.

Please let me know what you have available and any tips you may have on getting started in family history.

Dear Venita,

My brother Roger forwarded some of the communication that you have exchanged ... You have a beautiful website!

I looked through your pedigree chart and saw our common ancestors: Hans LARSEN/Elaine Dorthea Stromberg (CHRISTIANSDATTER) BENTZEN

...I have plans to get involved in family history when I retire... Which could be any time.

Maybe we could meet one day?

Just read some of your family histories. Elena Lambert and Elena Mitchie. Wonderful, inspiring stories. Thank you for sharing them. I love reading true stories of people's lives. I have just had a wonderful creative experience with my new Imac creating a slideshow of over 400 photos with music from itunes accompanying the photos which are renditions of songs my mother loved and sang in my childhood. She turned 90 years old on May 6 and a wonderful time was had by my siblings and spouses, nieces, nephews, three of my sons and two wives and seven of my grandchildren. My Dad Rex F. Larsen was the grandson of John George Erastus Larsen, your grandmother Elena Lambert's brother. My dad died three years ago. Thanks also for your beautiful photos, pedigrees, etc. etc. You've done a beautiful job in creating a very interesting website.

I looked up Myddfai as I have an ancestor on my fathers side who came from that village. Margaret James of Mothvey (english spelling I suppose) of that parish married John Walters.  Their daughter Catherine was born in 18 April 1823.  She married Thomas Jones at Mothvey parish church 25 October 1843.  Their daughter Sarah married John Price who was my father's grandparents.  My father has always said that the relations from Mothvey were noted as great healers. Thank you for the photos of the church.

Hi

Great web site!  Very helpful and informative.  You have done lots of work!

I would be very interested in obtaining a copy of your ged file... particularly on the Jones line.  Elisha Jones is my third great grandfather... Hyrum Jones is my second great grand uncle.   It has been extremely difficult to locate others who have done extensive research on this line.  I was most impressed by yours!  It would be helpful to have a ged file with those living (with their dates etc) if possible.  I would be more than glad to share what I have if your are interested in the other children of Elisha and his various wives.   Looking forward to hearing from you.

Dear Venita,

Your website is truly remarkable! Thank you for all the time and effort.  I'm in the process of gathering family stories for a Montgomery family reunion.  My name is Sarah Montgomery and I am sixteen years old.  My grandfather is S. Bryce Montgomery, and he is a cousin of the Ralph Montgomery who contributed some to your site.  From there, his father was Shield Montgomery, and his father was Robert Booth. So, I'm not sure what that makes us to eachother :) but I'm grateful to have such diligent family historians for relatives! Thank you so much.  Your work has made my little project a lot easier and will surely bless more lives that you can imagine.  You're the best!

Hi Venita:

I found your website today as I was searching for my father-in-law's ancestors.  His parents were Vay Lambert and Rulon Albert Casper and I was so excited to see so much info on your site.  It's a great site and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the pictures, which I'm sure he will too.  He's 82 years old and still going strong - some good strong stock I'd say!

I live in Salt Lake City, so we're neighbors.  If you're interested in the Casper line, I'd be happy to share with you.

Take care,
Pat Casper

Hi Venita,

I was looking at your website with interest.  My mom is a Lambert and noticed you had her dad in the family picture.  My mom was adopted into the Lambert's when her and her brother were very young.  My grandpa is the little boy sitting in the front named Golden and Lorna was his wife.  I noticed you had no information on them except there deaths.  My Grandma Lorna died when I was young and boy did I cry and cry and cry.  My Grandpa (Golden) was remarried after that incident..  Let me know if you are interested in more information or maybe you have more information that has not been posted yet.   Let me know Interested in hearing from you.

Thank you,
Natalie

Very nice websites. Congratulations! Numerous pictures that I would be happy to have on my website. Also biographies and other information.   My disadvantage is that at the moment I am on a mission in Brazil with my wife. But we are returning in November. At that time I would very much like to pursue the installation of whatever you would like to see on the website concerning your Welsh ancestors. The administrative login is not working right now, but just as soon as possible after returning home I will hire someone to fix things.

Nice to hear from you again.

Dear Venita,

Thank you for the beautiful Mirror Lake photo. We really miss the mountains. America is the promised land and Utah is the best part of it. I believe there is a book by cousin Glenn in my mothers bookcase. When I return I will look for it. Thanks for your efforts. I won't call it work because I can tell you love it.

HI VENITA

Just browsed your website depicting views of old WALES . Theres referance to one naming a dovecot, this in fact is a pigeon coop or loft. Many miners raced pigeons for money and still is a great pastime of many welshmen. I live in DEAL kent, home of many hundreds Welsh patriots who came her when the coalfield opened up in the 1920s. Lots of these pigeon coops are still active here, built on the same lines as the one shown in the site photo

Hi!Venita.

I found your wonderful  photographs of Wales. I live in Redditch, Worcestershire. I was born in Upper Cwmtwrch on the confluence of the rivers Twrch and Gwys, I was intrigued by your photographs of Pen-y-Wern farm. As a child I remember exploring the Gwys river (a tributary of the Twrch) and remember a deserted farm on it's left bank. (I'm going back sixty four years at least!) As a child I used to wonder about it. It was so much like the photographs you took on your visit. I still have an uncle who liver in Upper Cwtwrch. I left during the second world war and now live in England...

Thanks again for your website.

Warnest regards.
Mayrose

Hello Venita.

I have been browsing your web site on both the Welsh photos and the Utah ones. They are really beautiful. Thanks for giving us the chance to share them with you. I have Welsh ancestors and have found a distant cousin in Utah.

Kind regards.

Dear Venita,

As you may know, Jeniel and I recently returned from our mission in England.  Your photos of Wales bring back many good memories of the country.   We think Jeniel's Prothero ancestors originate in Pembrokshire, so we too have visited and walked in Carmarthen and Pembrook and have driven through Wales.   Thanks for your good photos.

All the best,
Brent

Venita:

I would like to add my praise for a job well done. You have a great start on the photography I have seen. You show a good vision and are able to pic the good angles with the light and shadows. Keep up the good work.

I would also love pass on to you my thoughts and feeling about this time of year. It is the most important and beautiful time for young children and their imagination. I love to watch their eyes and expressions when they see the beautiful lights and sound of Christmas.

May God bless you and your family at this time of the holiday season. May we all take time to worship the Christ Child, for he is the one that we are celebrating at this time. Our love of Christ and all that he means to us cannot be replaced.

Keep up the good work.

Dear Venita

At last - someone else who knows the "Tom Thumper" rhyme!

My grandfather, whose family originated in Yorkshire, would call my toes - Tom Thumper, Long Lacer, Bill Blaker, Jenny Paulin (?Poor Lynn) anbd Little Tipply Townsend.

Spent my childhood in Wales (1956 - 1965), attended Eglwys Wen primary school in Whitchurch and still remember a few words of Welsh - though don't expect a conversation!

It was interesting for me to visit your site.  One of the most interesting aspects was to note your pictures of Merthyr Tydfil.  The ancestors of the Griffiths Family came from this same city.  Our ancestor by the name of Griffiths was a puddler in the steel mills from the area.

Thanks for sharing your site and pictures.

Venita,

I am a friend of Joyce LaCario and have really enjoyed all of your excellent photographs. The winter pics of Utah lake & Provo river are old stomping grounds for me and are beautifully done, and ofcourse the lights at the Temple were wonderful to see.

Hi Venita.

Just to wish you a Mery Christmas and a happy and lucky new year 2007. What a great homepage you have on the internet, its just wonderfull.

I hope you have some snow in Utah, here in Denmark we don't. It's much to warm to get snow, I don't know why, because I can't remember, that there have been flowers in the garden before, at this time. We used to have frosty weather, but not this year.

Have a good time.

Many Christmas greeting from

Jens in Aalborg.

Hello, Venita,

I enjoyed browsing through your website - very nice. I, too, am lucky to have pioneer heritage and Scottish heritage. Are you a member of the A&NESFHS?
