Hi Globe trotting photographer!
Wish I had several hours to peruse (and possibly print) the awesome photos on your website.
No guess what occupies your "free time"... Wasn't retirement supposed to signal a quieter life?
Guess not.
Have a great 2005!

Good morning, Venita,
I can't remember if I told you how excellent your site is! That photo of Provo in snow is
beautiful, too. Your photos of Wales are great! My ancestors go to their too. I think it is the
Bowen line--Obwain is the source of Bowen, I think, according to following the changes in the
pedigree...You are amazing! Did you make your own web site? And how did you learn, and WHAT ELSE
do you do???
Love,

Hi Venita...
I enjoyed your website and the way you put it together. My mothers parents came from Wales and I
enjoy reading about Wales and seeing pictures of it's beauty. I was in Wales last August to walk in
as many foot steps of my relatives as I could find. My grandfather came from Merthyr Tidfyl and my
grandmother from Ffestiniog.
Thank you for all the great emails on the list.

Hello Venita,
Having just found your page after visiting John Ball's website of St. Fagan's I thought I would
drop you a few lines. It won't be long, because I have just written a very long email to John. However,
I found your site extremely interesting, and when I have more time, I will go through all your
links ... Anyway, it was your mention of pioneers that started me off on this track, so I hope you
don't mind me telling you of at least one of my experiences.
All the best,

Hi Venita,
Roberta here from Australia, I liked your photographs [of the St. George floods], we didn't know about any floods in Utah.
But then again we don't get much local news from the States. I am just hoping that nothing like that
happens while I am in Utah in March of this year. Although Iam hoping to take some fantastic
photographs while Iam there.
Hope you and yours are all okay.

Hi,
Great pictures, mounting and describing them, as well. Thanks - My friend,
LeJeune Decker liked them too. Do you know Gary and Susanne Hawes, or Paul and Lorraine Searle of St
George? Searles are grandparents of the Quads born there, several yrs ago...

Venita,
Tuned in via the ReunionTalk Digest. Reviewed your superb site. Didn't see
any reference to those who served in the Armed Forces of the United States
although the reunion photo of LAMBERT MICHE family at Provo in 1946 shows
one man dressed in probably Army khakies.

Venita,
I've just run across and read your website. You have done a wonderful job creating the website and providing documentation.
I was surprised to find my maiden name, Redford, included and sure enough my connection is through
Robert Patefield Redford and his wife, Lettice Eckersall. These are my 2 great-grandparents.
I am delighted to be able to add additional information about Patience to his family records. I
previously knew of her name only.
Thanks for putting your information and a beautiful web-site online so everyone can enjoy the
fruits of your labor.
Sincerely,
Renaye

What a wonderful web site. So easy to find everything. I truly enjoyed seeing and reading about some of my family members.
Thank you for sharing all of your research and hard work.
I have boxes of pictures and information that needs to be preserved and I have been so frustrated trying to find a way to do it that could be shared with others. You have just given me hope.
Did you create your own web site or use a program? I would love some tips on how to get started.

Really enjoyed your site and its links. I often take a wander through other peoples sites, and look at the faces revealed, I find these sites very moving.
During the war, as an evacuee, I lived above Tintern Abbey (Windward House) with the Johnsons. I visited Chepstow whenever an appropriate film was showing. We, the local lads, roamed the "free woods" above Tintern, and now and again we'd go across for a look, a` bit of a trek as we had to go to Brockweir to cross the Wye
I now live in North Wales and we go to Harlech Castle beach weather permitting.
I've passed your site on to my mate living in Queensland - he was evacuated to Aberyswyth during the war. But he lived with near relatives there.
Cheers

Tripped over your site while I was Googling for my Thomas REES b 1680, in Resolven, Wales. Your site was on Page 6 and I am SO glad to read it and see what a magnificent job you did to record your family. The setup is at the top of the list of sites that I read. Just wanted to let you know what a great job you accomplished.

Hi.
I was just looking for my local canal in Swansea when I came across your well presented,
properly spelt welsh place names, and I must say, you have done a really exceptional job. First
class in fact. I live in the welsh city of Swansea, so if there any links you are looking for, and I
may be able to help, please email me, only to willing to help.
Keep up the good work

Dear Venita,
I enjoyed you photos of Cefn Coed and was pleased to see you have a Lewis connection. My grand
father wrote a book on the history of Hen Dy Cwrdd. Sadly it's now out of print his name was Tom Lewis
known in Cefn Coed as Mab Y Mynydd. It would seem that his family came from Carmarthenshire too. So it is not unlikely that there is some sort of family conection.
I live in Bermuda but often return to Wales.

I enjoyed reading about my ancestry from your site. My great grandmother is Julia Ellen Potts. I will have to check some of the information because I have the same birth dates but noticed the years were different on a few of the names.
I will also send you pictures and I have some notes in my file if you want them.
Thank you,

Hi,
Just found your website while googling my ancestors. I am a descendant of Parshall Terry and Rhoda Skinner through their son, Timothy. I have lots of info about the family, if you are interested. For example, I have death dates for most of Timothy's children - from both wives.
I'd love to correspond,

Hi Venita,
I put Tom Thumper into Google and up came your answer about a rhyme for the toes. I have always been curious about the origin of this rhyme and yours seems similar.
Every week when I cut my 2 year old grandson's finger nails I do it to the following rhyme:
'Tom Thumper, Bill Milker, Long Lacer, Cherry Bumper and Little Tippy Tippy Tippy Townend'
This has been passed down through the family from his great great grandmother who was born and lived in West Yorkshire. I have never heard it anywhere except in the family.
Kind regards, Rosalind Hodge

Hi Venita,
I have your homepage bookmarked because it is a the prime example of the kind of website I would like to develop. I am a .Mac member and have started a fledgling website of my own. I share many of your interests and history: retired teacher, family history researcher, grandparent, resident of the mountain west (Denver, Colorado) and nascent photographer. I perused your warm fuzzies (one of which I contributed in 2003 I think) and wondered how you were able to make so many contacts! How did you get your website out to so many viewers? My husband contends a website is a waste of my time as a writer, but I don't think so. I also keep a blog which I hope to embed in my website, but I wonder how to publicize it. Any suggestions?
You have done such a good job on your website and it demonstrates your many talents. I salute you!

...You have done a masterful job of creating a wonderful website of your family. I hope I can do something similar some day. You have given me some great ideas. Would you like more information on the Jesse Lavern Larsen branch of the family?...If you are interested in my sending the names to you let me know how you want me to do it.
Keep up the fantastic work you are doing on sharing family information...

Hi,
A very good web site. I see you have a connection to the THOMAS family in Llanddeusant in Carmarthenshire, South Wales, on a farm. Do you know what the name of the farm is? I was born on a farm in Llanddeusant called Gelly Fawr and my surname is also THOMAS.
Thanks,

Dear Venita:
Once again I have so much enjoyed the beautiful work you're doing on your web site. The Christmas "holiday greetings" you sent out on your site I really enjoyed. You do such a wonderful job in all that you put on your web site. I just pray that friends are forever too, because you are, and always have been such a sweet friend starting way back in our school days. I hope I'll be blessed to know you when we pass on.
I hope you had a good holiday season too. I only wish I had some of the know how on the computer that you possess.
Here is wishing you and your family the best of everything for the coming 2006 New Year!!
Thanks once more for all you do to brighten the life of others. I know you do mine.
Love,
Monya A.
