Many thanks to my 'editor,' John Ball, without whose help the information on these pages would be full of errors!

I love Wales! It is my father's homeland. Though he was never able to visit during his lifetime, he always carried hiraeth** in his heart. I now visit in his behalf, always with a camera in tow. The main focus of my visits is to walk the places my ancestors walked and find more information about them, but I never say no to an opportunity to visit other places. Each time I visit, I think it will be the last time. But hiraeth calls me back, and I find myself booking a flight. These pages show some views of this beautiful, ancient land that I belong to in spite of myself.
