Cob Hovel's stem is the only maimed vulcanite stem from the 2008 group to be of sanitized estate origin. It is also the only one to have been exposed to accelerated oxidation.
Cob Hovel comes with a cage fashioned of an old glass tobacco humidor jar which has been out of service for many years. It's top is brass and wood with a corn cob bedding.
Cob Hovel's approximate measurements are:
Length: five and one half inches
Height: three inches
Bowl, outer: one and three quarter inches
Bowl, inner: seven eighths of one inch
Weight: four and one half ounces

Truly unruly, Cob Hovel is a precarious sitter mini bridge which feigns stability often. Not unlike a dangerous comedian, Cob Hovel will sit, seemingly stable, for quite some time, then topple at the worst moment possible. This certainly would happen more often when live embers are involved.
Cob being an older term for spider, the apparent mini bridge of this pipe is really a home for any passing arachnid. Cob Hovel seems to have a soft spot for spiders and a cold spot for most everything else.
