Learn transparent watercolor techniques along the Atlantic seacoast in Eastern Maryland. Instruction includes color mixing, glazing, brushwork and general art principles of composition and perspective. Demonstrations and encouraging instruction is given by renowned local, professional artist, whose mastery of local color schemes is unequaled on the Eastern Shore. This program is encouraged for both experienced and beginning artists. Painting subjects will include the white sandy beaches of Ocean City, and floral and landscape elements from life and still life. These are fun courses for any artist interested in expanding the possibilities of traditional painting with creative approaches.
A supply list will be provided but some paper is provided.

Plein Air Workshop
Join us for an opportunity to paint in an incredible location. A nationally known artist and workshop instructor will be teaching plein air painting on location. Chincoteague Island, with its quaint shops and fishing boats, offers many opportunities for the artist. For those looking to capture the wonders of nature, explore Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, located on Assateague Island, which is home to more than 300 species of migrating birds and the famous wild ponies. The islands provide some of the most beautiful landscapes on the east coast. Participants will have the opportunity to paint in either oils or water color.
