Jo Seung-woo portrays small-time hoodlum Tae-woong whose on-going activities in the underworld let him rise to power. Changing from a criminal leader to a film producer and businessman, Tae finds a loyal partner in his wife Hae-ok (Kim Min-seon) who supports him regardless of how high the odds are. Mentioning historical events that moved Korea during the late 50's to the beginning 70's, Im Kwon-taek's Raging Years offers you an unusual tale abounding with action scenes and intriguing facts about the heydays of chic Korean movies.

Honored with the Best Director prize at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival, for his 98th blockbuster movie Chiwhaseon , talented director Im Kwon-taek has been invited to the Venice Film Festivals for his latest silver screen success Raging Years and thus has the chance to win the Golden Lion in the category for Best Film. Im's 97th movie Chunhyang was also among the competing movies at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival, thus the ambitious director has consecutively landed 3 acclaimed silver screen hits.
