Award-winning French drama recreating the atmosphere of the 1968 student riots in Paris, and following a group fo young students as they reject normal society in favour of a bohemian existance. Fracois (Louis Garrel), the leader of the group, falls in love with Lilie (Clotilde Hesme), but they soon find their idealism and their love for each other under threat from the harsh realities of everyday life.
