In 1976, filmmaker René Allio used a notorious Normandy crime as the foundation for his film I, Pierre Rivière, Having Slaughtered My Mother, My Sister, and My Brother. The film drew detailed a triple homicide that had taken place 140 years prior, and its cast was comprised almost exclusively of homegrown talent. Now, over 30 years later, I, Pierre Rivière assistant director Nicolas Philibert travels back to the shooting locales to find out just what has become of the amateur actors who appeared in that film.
