Will of Hugh
McGeehan [abstract]:
I Hugh McGeehin being of sound mind memory and
understanding do make this my last will and testament;
first, I direct that all my just debts be paid; second, I
give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret McGeehin the
eastern one-half of house and lot situate on the south side
of Broad between Third and Fourth streets in West Hazleton;
third, I give and bequeath to my son John J. McGeehin the
western one-half of house and lot situate on the south side
of Broad, between Third and Fourth, in West Hazleton;
fourth, I give and bequeath to my son Hugh McGeehin the
eastern one-half of house and lot situate on the south side
of Broad between Third and Fourth in West Hazleton; fifth,
I give and bequeath to my son James McGeehin the western
one-half of house and lot situate on the south side of
Broad between Third and Fourth; sixth, I give and bequeath
to my daughter Margaret McGeehin all furniture and
furnishings; seventh, I give and bequeath to my son John J.
McGeehin the sum of $50 in lieu of commission as executor
for settling my estate; eighth, all the rest I bequeath to
my son Edward McGeehin and my three daughters Mary Burns,
Annie Gough, and Margaret McGeehin, share and share alike.
Lastly I nominate and appoint my son John J. McGeehin
executor of my last will and testament, in witness whereof
I set my hand and seal this 9 Apr 1903; Hugh (his x mark)
McGeehin; witnesses J.P. Gorman, John Wilhelm. Date of
