Love Me Some WiFi
When you spend 5 hours at an airport when the original plan was to just be here for maybe an hour, you have to begin finding things to be thankful for instead of letting the frustration set in. Tonight I am so very thankful for WiFi and power outlets. Can I get an amen for FREE WiFi? Thank you Philadelphia airport.

So, I was two hours late to the shoot due to the rain and fog here in Philly. I had about 10 minutes to set up and 30 minutes to shoot. As soon as the trade show was closed, the crews came out of the shadows to tear the whole thing down. I was literally shooting between a ladder and a cherry picker with a 200mm lens just to get the job done. I'd set a light and then have to move it because the carpet it was sitting on was being removed. Run & Gun Photography. Dot. Com.

So, here is what I came up with for 3 portraits on a trade show floor that could not show the trade show floor.

Color and contrast are in the neighborhood. It's time for another calibration I think.

I still have mixed feelings about this city. There are parts of it that I love. It's an amazingly old city and you can see it around every corner and I really like that about Philadelphia. But then there's the rest of the city that seems so gray and depressing. The greatest experience I have had yet was going to the Reading Terminal Market across the street from the convention center downtown. It was such an amazing place! I had the best roast beef sandwich of my life from a Lancaster County shop in the market. After the shoot, I went back to the market and explored it a bit more. I'd like to spend a few days in this city to really get a feel for it.

But at this moment... right now... I don't want to be here at all. Get me home please!

Cheers,
Zack
