It's The Little Things, Part 1
The first in a series of observations about what makes
here decided not there. Phones, digital britta, and aerials.
Jane and Jerry have a very swanky phone. But what on
earth are those buttons at the bottom
for?
They also have a digital Britta. I wonder if it sends SMS messages when the water's getting low.
And of course, there are the aerials. The difference now is that they're starting to broadcast digital signals over the terrestrial network. In Canada we pretty much abandoned TV aerials years ago, so it just never occurred to me that you could send digital signals this way. In some respects, the UK could out-gadget us.
