We have a winner

We have a winner for the "how many holes" contest

Ms Nancy Smith, an OAP from Ottawa, Canada, recognised the Royal Albert Hall from the photograph...

and knew that, according to The Beatles, it takes "four thousand holes " to fill the Albert Hall. Those are, of course, rather small, Blackburn Lancashire-sized holes.

The Beatles also insisted that Eleanor Rigby kept her face in a jar by the door, that "I am you and you are me", and that Paul was the walrus, so the veracity of this measurement is up for debate.

Nancy will be receiving a lovely Science Museum "maze pen."

Due to the extreme swiftness with which Ms Smith put shame to all you younger folk and music fans, I'll be announcing another contest shortly in which -every- correct answer will win a fabulous souvenir of London.
