The 2007 Macworld Expo Planning Team is comprised of members of the user group community, the Apple User Group Advisory Board, the Regional Liaisons, and the Campus Group Advisory Board. Together, they make a wide variety of events and services a reality.

Rex Covington is an eleven-year member of the Houston Area Apple User Group, past president and currently is vice-president for programming. His first Mac was an SE30. He has served as a Fire Fighter/Paramedic for the city of Arlington, Texas, and was in fire protection design using Auto CAD for ten years. Currently, Rex is operating his own business doing FileMaker Pro Database and Mac Support. Rex is an Apple User Group Regional Liaison who covers the South Central United States.
George Kopp is a founding member of the appleJAC Mac User Group where he has served as president, vice president, secretary, editor, treasurer, librarian and currently serves as the club's Web Master. George works for the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department managing the Computer Aided Drafting and Design systems for over 600 users statewide. He is a registered Professional Engineer, a certified Apple technician and dedicated Mac and PC consultant. His hobbies also include black powder rifle shooting and adult leader development training for the Boy Scouts of America. George is an Apple User Group Regional Liaison who covers the Northwest and North Central United States.
Pat Fauquet is the Vice President for Programs for Washington Apple Pi and the editor of their monthly CD. She is the Senior Agent for Bob LeVitus in his Doctor Mac consulting business and does Macintosh consulting and training for small companies, individuals and schools in the Washington DC area.
Sandy Foderick is a founding officer and president of AOL's original user group and former Chancellor of AOL's User Group Learning Center. She has met and worked with user groups across the United States and is a member of Mini'App'Les' in Minnesota. Sandy serves on the Apple User Group Advisory and is currently the editor of the Apple User Group Bulletin. When not busy with user groups, Sandy is a Professor of Humanities and a mother of four.
Trish Huffman, Triangle Macintosh User Group. Trish left her career in the medical field to stay at home with her ever-expanding family. As Special Events Coordinator and MUG Producer at World Without Borders, the largest Macintosh chat site on the web, she works to bring user group events to the Apple Community Connection. Trish is Ambassador and vendor liaison for the Triangle Macintosh Users Group (TMUG) located in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina. She serves on the Apple User Group Advisory Board.
Rick Ortiz is a long-time member of the Maui Apple User Society where he has served as president since 2000. Upon joining the group in 1997 he worked hard to help them build from 30 members to nearly 200. Rick owns a Multimedia/Mac consulting business in Maui and has previous experience working in the non-profit sector. Rick currently serves on the Apple User Group Advisory Board as team leader for the Apple User Group Regional Liaison team.
Tom Piper founded appleJAC Macintosh Users Group in 1984 and has served in many officer positions since. He has worked on newsletters, mail servers, educational sessions and web sites. In 1984 he established the first Macs in government agencies, and has continually supported expansion and integration efforts since then. Tom is a familiar face at Macworld Expo and UGU. He also manages MacQuest Consulting and serves as the Vendor Relations Liaison for the Apple User Group Advisory Board.
Lynn Poos became involved with Macs in the 1980s and is the Secretary-Treasurer Emeritus and a Life Member of the Silicon Mountain Macintosh User Group, Inc. (SMMUG) in Colorado Springs, CO. He retired in 1993 from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department after thirty-four years of service and moved to Colorado to "relax." He was chairman of the Juvenile Community Review Board for Colorado’s Fourth Judicial District until 1998 when Governor Owens asked him to chair the Juvenile Parole Board for the State of Colorado. He served in this position until December 2004 when the Governor accepted his resignation. Now living in Southern California, he remains active with SMMUG. He serves on the Apple User Group Advisory Board.
Chris Saribay, Senior Editor of Macteens Magazine, has been interested in Apple user groups for as long as he can remember. Starting out with a Bondi Blue iMac on the sandy shores of the Maui Apple Users Society, Chris is interested in all that is Mac and all that is Apple. When not thinking about the vast quandaries of the Mac universe and the improvements that can be made to Apple User Groups, he enjoys graphic design and photography.
Elsa Travisano, Macintosh User Group of Oneonta, NY (MUG ONE). Elsa has been a guiding force for MUG ONE in upstate New York for more than twenty years. She currently serves as president and edits MUG ONE’s award-winning newsletter, Newsbreak. Her reviews for Newsbreak are frequently reprinted in publications and on the web. Her husband, son and daughter are all avid Mac users. Elsa owns a Macintosh consulting business and is a certified member of the Apple Consultants Network. She serves on the Apple User Group Advisory Board.
Macbeth Vannoy, of the North Coast Macintosh Users Group of Ohio, is first and foremost, wife, mom and Mac enthusiast, effectively off-track as a medical assistant. Continuing interest in self-enlightenment and fun led to volunteering at the local Macintosh user group after several years of serving on local school district technology committees. She has been heavily involved in NCMUG-OH's outreach program, collecting old computers and refurbishing them for donation to schools and needy families. Macbeth is in her sixth year of leadership at NCMUG-OH, serving as a third-term vice-president and review/vendor co-liaison. Macbeth is an Apple User Group Regional Liaison who covers the East Central United States.
Warren Williams, AppleWorks Users Group/iWork Users Group, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Warren S. Williams is the co-founder and president of the AppleWorks Users Group and the iWork Users Group, the world’s largest computer user groups with thousands of members in the U.S. and 49 other countries. Dr. Williams, a Professor Emeritus of Educational Technology at Eastern Michigan University, has been using computers since 1965 and bought his first Apple computer in 1982. He serves on the Apple User Group Advisory Board.
