San Francisco has come to be like an old friend; we miss it when were away, look forward to being together, and when were there we try to catch up with the familiar and learn something new.

   
Beginning of the Chinese New Year's Day Parade!
Welcome the Year of the Rooster! May you have prosperity, happiness, and health.
The Dragon dance is a traditional part of Chinese New Years celebrations.
We saw more dragons then we've ever seen before!

In Chinatown there was a huge fair for New Years...
...at the fair a wonderful assortment of goods were available.
We learned what the locals already knew, where to get the best egg custard tarts
Visit with Lisa's family in San Francisco...
...they live right in the heart of Chinatown!
