New Year's Eve 12/ 31/ 04

What was I thinking of the disaster in the south east Asia and a part of Africa?
I knew something huge hit there and wrote it to my home page of the web community "Mixi." The total of the victims are still unknown, but it will be over 100 thousands. The worst natural disaster in recent history. At the last day of the 2004, we may need some bright lights to see,,,,

Jesus, what have you done to us? 12/27/04

A day after your birthday, the huge Tsunami caused by 9.0 earthquake off Indonesia in the Indian Ocean killed thousands. According to CNN more than 4800 fatalities and 2000 missing, most of them are in Sri Lanka and India. The speed of Tsunami is about 600 miles per hour, same as the commercial jet liner's.

It's not fair, Jesus! What's the matter with you?

It's been .... 12/25/04

It's been 34 years since I was in Japan on a Christmas Day and a New Year's. Christmas is not a special day for me and I really don't care about lightings and other related things, 'cause I'm not a Christian. However, I usually pray for everybody on a day like this. To me, all of the lives in the Universe are amazing.

"Lots things happened, but .... 12/22/04"

When I was staying my home in New York for three weeks, one good thing happened to me. That was my 5 LB weight loss. Hey, that's great and it was since the August, 2003. Well, I need to shed 10 LB more, but I think it will be much easier than the last 15 months try. A half of my sound equipment are in my Hiroshima home now. I'm so grateful to have them and all of them are in good shape. Thank God and the freight company "Black Cat." Another important thing is my parents health and they are pretty good.

"Now, I love the Black Cat Express. 12/12/04"

Ya know about the Black Cat Express ?
They are the best freight cats ever. On Friday nite, my whole shipment came in and set them up to check all equipments from New York. O Holy Cow ! No scratches, no damages at all. It's fantastic ! Thanks for everything and now I love them, because not only the blazing speed, but also the safeties.

"Hi, I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaack !!! 12/10/04"

Yap, I'm in Hiroshima. The both flights, JFK-NRT and NRT-Hiroshima were pretty nice, I must say. The night flight for Hiroshima was incredible and tell you all about later.  God bless you all.

"At Cucina S. 12/7/04"

I played a few songs at the funky Italian joint, Cucina Stagionale. The guitar player Steve is also a great Ping-Pong player, but he's getting a little weight on. Yap, he needs to shape up. What about me, I need to run 10 km a day to shed 20 pounds off, eh?

"One Sunday afternoon in a greeting season 12/6/04"

It was a sunny Sunday, walked around the Village and Chelsea. Saw a brother and a sis selling Christmas trees on the same spot every year. They must have come from upstate and the sis is very cute. Went up on Seventh Avenue, turned the right on 17th St., there was a flea-market on the corner of the Avenue of the Americas. This guy on the left gotta be a musician, selling a cymbal with stand and a couple of guitar amps.

"My new gears 12/2/04"

Yeah, I've gotta beautiful stuff now. See those pics above, iBook G4, Mackie Onyx 1220 mixer with FireWire interface and then My Outboard stuff in the carrying case.
Two sets of speakers, Tannoy LGM and Hafler M5 come with them. They are the best sounding recording gears I've ever had. The software is Logic 7 Express.

"Sunday Times 11/28/04"

I'd like to show you what real New Yorkers do on Sunday.
First of all, you've got to have Sunday Times in the morning and I don't give a damn if you read them or not. In case you don't know about the papers, here's the pictures of them and they are the New York Times Sunday Edition, we call them simply Sunday Times. See they have more than 10 sections in all. You need a whole floor to read through them, you dig ? Well, I'll shovel them into the garbage anytime, but you've gotta take a look at least once. Then, you have a Sunday Brunch at a dina in your neighbors and by the time you come back at your place, here comes the Football games on TV. Now, NY Giants and Philadelphia Eagles are playing. The score is 6 to 7, Giants are losing.

"Here comes Cuban. 11/24/04"

A Cuban sandwich is one of my favorite food in New York City. Muy bueno, amigos !! It comes with roast pork, ham, cheese, Cuban pickles and hot sauce. Then, it is heated and pressed in-between hot electric plates that makes so much different from all others. Mmmmh, so yummy ! No ploblema, having it everyday.

"My old bodies 11/22/04"

I went to see my old bodies at Cucina Stagionale, an Italian joint where I used to play the drums. The guitar player, Steve Berger, a well known piano player David Mathews and I played together almost 2 years in the joint. Ah, I've forgotten the bass player here. Men, my memories are getting worse, you know what I mean.

"A Japanese restaurant in New York 11/20/04"

Claude, a french lady and one of my best friends, took me to a Japanese restaurant "MISHIMA" on Lexington Ave. Well, it was TGIF. So, there's a small line at the door. After about 10 minuets, we gotta table and ordered one of my favorite sake HARUSHIKA, from Nara. This very dry sake is not only good for chilled, but also for hot. However, when I asked to make it hot, they said they only serve it as chilled one. I don't like the way they do things for sake, but no complain.

The food was great. Reminds me of another good place where I used to go. The monk fish liver was so tasty as some people call it a seafood Foie Gras. Asari Sakamushi, steamed baby clams right off the Long Island sound were exquisite and Claude went to crazy for them. Then, we had some sushi, of course. They are much better than some sushi bars in Japan, especially sea urchin and fatty tuna.

"Money Talks Nobody Walks 11/19/04"

Last nite I went to see my body Marty, works as a sound guy at Jazz Standard on East 27th St. Saxophone player Benny Wallace was playing there and the band was pretty good. However, the piano player and the vibraphone player were also the same type, in other words they all played one dimensional only. That bothered me a bit. After the show when we got out the club, there were two nice looking ladies standing. Ooh, men it's only in New York, but I'm too old to do anything with them. Marty whispered "They are hookers, you know." I said " Hey, they are changing, huh? But, Money Talks !"

"Can't wait. 11/16/04"

In the next 30 some hours, I'll be in NYC since Feb. Yeah, I can't wait to say Hi, Dear to everyone I know. Gee, it's been so long, I mean 9 months. OK, just let's have fun over there.

"Sanuki-Udon Shop 11/13/04"

This morning a friend of mine, Mr. N called me for having a lunch together at a noodle shop in town. Also, he's gonna take me to a special liquor store, stocked great sake selections later on. Sure why not, can't get away from sake and wine for about 30 years now. We arrived at the noodle shop which serves only Sanuki-Udon, a little earlier before it's open. There was a guy waiting I saw on the previous visit here a couple of months ago. Mr. N told me he always comes here before the door opens and orders same dishes all the time. To me it's kinda sick to hear, you know. But, I wanted see his stomach at the same time.

Well, we sat down one of two tables, all together about 12 people can sit in including a counter. Yeah, first I had the mixed vegetable tempura, one of my favorites here. Then the noodle called KAMA-AGE, boiled noodle in the hot water with warm dipping sauce. Oh, men it was exquisite, Bueno Amigos ! However, I had a little trouble with the length of the noodle, about one yard long. Can you imagine me sucking the noodle straight through my throat without having choked, eh ? And then I had to sync into my arm movement, going up and down for one yard height. What a thrill, what a thrill !!! Stuffed.

"Fashion Blunders 11/11/04"

I've found a pretty nice article in Netscape Career & Jobs. it said First impressions are everything especially for your job hunting, titled "Fashion Blunders" It means you have to take care your appearance for the job interview. So, they picked 10 "Fashion Blunders" and oh, yeah this is for ladies not for guys.

Here is the top of the list;

1. They can smell you before they see you.
Can you get what this means? Less is best when it comes to perfume or cologne. Because the interviewer might have allergies and be sensitive to fragrances, and after all, how you smell is not the top of your list.

I thought it was not so important in the US, however it might be changing into new era.

"Soon to be in NYC 11/7/04"

I'll be in my town New York City on Tuesday the week after. I can't wait to see all of my friends there and a few of them are very close. So, I had to get some gifts for them. I usually get a small stuff like lacquers and traditional Japanese paper products. For guys, Sake is the best at any time. For ladies, I think I have to get something different this time around.

"Fine days, lots troubles 11/5/04"

The past few days has been pretty beautiful. It's real fall weather. Now, I must say I had been in trouble with this digital bullshit, ya know. My computer has been fine, but provider $#@%ed the shit up so bad and I had to fixed them up all day long. You know I hate the digi-shit and also the Bushes. Stay away from those Bushes!

"Election day 11/2/04"
