"Typhoon #16 8/30/04"

The most powerful typhoon in this year so far has hit Japan. Fortunately only few casualties. Yeah, thank God.
By the way, you know which state has the most traffic death per capita? It's Wyoming! How about that? Mississippi, the second and the third is Montana. Even I thought it'll be California or eastern states along the route 95. Well, it might show how the human behavior affects for a driving. I heard a lot of people have foods while they drive in those midwestern states.

"Dope 8/28~29/04"

Hammer Throw Gold medalist Adrian Annus, Hungary has been stripped his medal. Yap, it's the dope problem. You know I've read about how you trick the urine test in a paper. They hide in their anal passage with someone else urine in a small container. Uh ha, Mr. "Annus" did it, right!

" Women's Football 8/26~27/04"

Congratulations for Team USA women's soccer. I've been their fan since Atlanta and Brandi Chastain, Julie Foudy, Mia Hamm, Joy Fawcett and Kristine Lilly have the guts and glory. They showed how to make a great team effort. They are the real champ and 91ers.

" Tired of everything? 8/25/04"

I've been tired of everything, but I don't think I'm getting old. Just too much TV.....

"Ladies Marathon 8/23/04"

I used to love watching NYC Marathon. What a sight when 20 thousand of runners through the Verrazano Bridge! Watching the Olympic Ladies Marathon in zero hours was something else, especially on the original Marathon and Athens road. Then, I saw a Japanese runner Ms, Noguchi won the gold, it must be the experience of her lifetime.

"Off Party #2 8/21~22/04"

Shut Off your computer and got out to a Tasting Party near my house. The place is Vistale or Bistale which I've forgotten to make sure the spelling. Now, I love this place, serves creative Italian dishes that combined Asian, Chinese and Japanese foods. For example, the fresh shrimp spring roll with basil sauce is exquisite. Mapo Dofu comes with Sansho, a Japanese hot pepper that settles you into relaxed aroma. I think everyone loved their foods and enjoyed themselves.

"Couch Potato 8/19~20/04"

You know I've been a couch potato since the Olympic. So, I can't even think anything else. Ah.........

"A whole in one 8/17~18/04"

Watching the olympic games is fun and it comes once in four years. I just started thinking of the games that should be in every year. Because it will be for the world peace and togetherness. Why not? In this case the most countries don't have time to go into a war. Hey, how about that?

"Dry eyes 8/16/04"

NHK Olympic coverage sucks ! So baaaaaad, I mean fucked up. The way they talk is just like reading a comic script, no sincerity at all. Also their script has no feeling, not from their heart, you know what I mean. Compare to what I had in New York, my eyes have been dried, no tears coming out.

"Favorite summer dish 8/15/04"

I remembered a nice appetizer for summer from an Italian bistro on 4th Ave. in East Village. Sorry for forgotten the name of the place. The dish is a fig rapped around by very thin sliced prosciutto. That was it and with no sauce, nothing. I loved it so much better than with honey dew melon or other fruits. So, I tried to make it tonight. It came out very good but missing two things. One : I couldn't find very nice prosciutto in Hiroshima. Two : The fig's taste was OK, but its seed was not crispy enough. I wish I could be in NYC, right now.

"Hey, Jude or Judo 8/14/04"

No, it's not the Beetles song. It's one of the martial arts invented in Japan. Ms. Ryoko Tani and Mr. Tadahiro Nomura won each gold on their classes on the first day of the Olympic competition. They both had the gold before and their confidence was so high. Congratulations for their success and good to know how they did.

"Mapo Dofu 8/13/04"

The Athens Olympic Game will be started in few hours. A lot of weird thoughts are coming and going flawlessly, but nothing stays in. By the way I cooked "Mapo Dofu" that I learned from my neighborhood Chinese restaurant in New York City. It is also called "Hot & Spicy Tofu in Szechwan style." The one I learned was not using any black bean paste or oyster sauce. So, my Mapo Dofu looked in a clear broth, not in the usual brown colored. I like this dish much better than the usual brown one. Actually, my father loved it.

"The team Japan 8/11~12/04

Women's soccer the team Japan beat Swedes 1-0. It was their first victory in Olympics and they played like a champion. However, Men's team was lost to Paraguay 3-4 and they didn't play like a champion. They're gonna have a very hard time in the next two games.

"Sexy Soccer 8/10/04"

The following story was on the internet, you know about those stuff.

It was my senior year of high school and I was on the varsity soccer team. The soccer coach was H-O-T! He was a true hunk, and he was only twenty-five. I had always been attracted to him and I suspected that he had a thing for me. One day after a long practice, he asked me to see him in his office. At first I thought I was getting kicked off the team, but we had such a great relationship and we got along great. So, I thought that this was the day. Right before going in I put on some lip gloss, perked up my breasts, and tied my shirt up so you could see my waist. When I went in and sat down, I could notice him looking at my body.

And you know what happened to them after that.....

"Ice Cream, You Scream 8/8~9/04"

I think I found the best place to get an ice cream in Hiroshima. It is so much better than any gourmet ice cream I had in the US of A. This place, I've forgotten its name, was in a hotel named Well City, near Peace Memorial Park. They served buffet luncheon only for 1300 yen (About $11.00.) They also had very good Chinese food selections that easily cost you $10.00 per dish. The last dish I scooped from the freezer was Green Tea, Vanilla and Strawberry Sherbet. Men, I was in Heaven again since the Oysters and Clams in SOHO, NYC. It was that goooooooooooooooood.

"Asian Cup Soccer Final 8/7/04"

The championship game was on tonight, Japan Vs China. Japan beat China 3-1. It was a good game, but not great. The both teams were pretty tired after semi-finals extra 30 minuets long games. There was a small riot among the Chinese supporters after the game. They burned a Japanese flag and broke a rear window of the Japanese diplomats vehicle, coming out of the stadium. Since the world war, there have been complicated problems between Japanese and Chinese. I understand why, but I don't know how you solve them.

"Hiroshima the 59th Summer 8/6/04"

I was born 3 years after the A. Bomb in Hiroshima. My uncle was killed on Aug. 6th, 1945 and when I was little, my mother and grand parents used to tell me how he died on that day. Nonetheless, I could not realized how awful the bomb was until I was ten when I visited the A. Bomb Museum. Actually, I had three nights continuos nightmares after the visit. That was 46 years ago. Today, I have nothing against the US, because only History tells the truth and we can't do anything for that matter now. When I was playing music for the Earth Harmony concert yesterday, my brain was totally empty. No thoughts,

"Empty 8/4/04"

I need to empty out my brain completetly.

"Jammed with a world music group 8/3/04"

My best friend Michiko and her husband Shu has a band called "SAYAN." They play a kind of the world music and we jammed together at Shitamoto last nite for preparation of the Earth Harmony concert. We really enjoyed each others, Jazz and the world music. Mr. Shitamoto is a versatile Keyboard player, plays everything he hears. Adding a flute player Ms. Yuzuki was another good pick. Thank God Michiko's disabled sister also enjoyed our Jam.

"As usual 8/2/04"

It was the very usual Monday, nothing special and cooked "Yakisoba" a Japanese style pan fried noodle for dinner. I mixed with a Chinese oyster sauce because I can't find a good Japanese one recently. But it wasn't right taste yet. I'd better look for some different ones soon.

"Soccer 8/1/04"

I love Soccer, cause I used to play when I was young. There're lots of good international matches on TV this weekend and one of them was Real Madrid, the All Universe vs. Tokyo Verdy from Japan League. Real Madrid beat Verdy 4-0. They have Ronaldo, Beckham, Raul, Guti, Figo, Roberto Carlos, and Zidane who are all like Gods for Soccer fans and that's why they are the All Universe. But with all the genius they have, they failed to be on top of the Spanish league and Champions.
