Lighting is not only functional but also
really helps the looks. I went with the Hella 500 fogs first
and mounted them on the TJM to take the place of the stock
ones as they went with the stock bumper. It was actually
quite convienent to not have to run wires or anything.
I just used the stock wiring and that was that. I just
got four driving lights and mounted them on my basket.
I am going to wait to wire them up until I head home and get
some help from my father who is obcessive about quality and
fit and finish and but also has every tool known to man.
I also have some el-cheapo fog lights that I picked up from
Advanced Autoparts mounted on the rear of the basket as auxiliry
back up lights. I'm going to wire them up with a three
position switch so I can have them On, Off, and Auto so they
come on when in reverse. My next lighting mod will be
some rock lights. Rock lights are basicly functional
under glow that doesn't have any color. When off roading
at night you have to be able to see whats going on under the
truck and thats their main purpose. I want to also tap
into the Interior lights so they will turn on when a door
is opened. Perimeter lighting taken to the next level!
I'll post a writeup when I get around to installing everything.
As for the headlights I have Silverstars and love them.
There have been scientific studies done on the fake hid bulbs
and the stilverstars had the most light emmited and also had
the lowest glare.
