I suppose I've been waiting for something really big to blog about. Well, here it is — just in time to start the New Year right:

My longtime partner-in-crime Kristen and I are now engaged!

I “popped the question” during a weekend at a lovely historic inn by the ocean in Monterey, just before the holidays. Thanks to a kind and well-timed passerby, we have a picture taken mere seconds after Kristen said the wonderful word “Yes”:

Now begins all the delightfully hectic wedding planning goodness! We haven't set a date for our big day yet, but are thinking early 2007.

Life is good!
