Ordinarily, sunny weather on the peninsula seems a sure sign that gloomy clouds envelop the nearby coastline. Yesterday afternoon, however, proved to be spectacularly clear at Pescadero State Beach. Perfect weather for watching flocks of pelicans glide past. We even caught a few glimpses (but unfortunately no pictures) of a seal that was playing around in the surf nearby.
