.Mac Slides posted
January 25, 2004 - permalink

I've finally gotten around to publishing some pictures as a ".Mac slideshow". Had I realized it would be so easy (select desired pictures in iPhoto, click ".Mac Slides", and confirm) I'd probably have done this a long time ago.

Those using Mac OS X can view the slideshow by setting it as their screen saver:

  1. Launch System Preferences.
  2. Go to "Desktop & Screen Saver", and choose the "Screen Saver" tab. (On Jaguar, this was a separate item called "Screen Effects".)
  3. Choose the ".Mac" screen saver.
  4. Click the Options button, and in the sheet that comes down enter my .Mac member name ("troy_stephens").

The theme for this go-round is coastal scenery -- mostly from my local area (Santa Cruz, Capitola, Davenport, Point Reyes, East Brother Light Station, and the Golden Gate), with a few Hawai'i pictures thrown in for good measure. Amateur stuff, to be sure, but I hope others will enjoy.
