No updates in over a month is a clear sign that I've been a very busy guy. I expect that will continue to be the case right up until WWDC, and without much interruption for a good while thereafter... But, it's good to be challenged I suppose! :-)
Lots of interesting stuff has been happening in the meantime that I haven't had the chance to comment on. In particular, it's been great to watch the iTunes music store launch to such an enthusiastic reception (meanwhile doing my own small part to help Apple reach the 2 million song mark :-). I had been a big fan of online music shopping via Amazon and other such sites, where one can typically listen to samples of 30-40% or so of the tracks on a given album. But there's nothing quite like being able to listen to a full-quality clip of any song that's available for sale, or to type in the name of an old classic like "Fly Me to the Moon" and get back a playable list of renditions by 20-odd artists spanning decades. It leads to whole new avenues of music discovery...
Thanks to someone figuring out the iTunes music store URI format, by the way, I can now pass on to those of you running OS X and iTunes 4 the very essential info that I've been enjoying Rush - Exit...Stage Left on my way to work lately -- particularly The Spirit of Radio through YYZ and Freewill. :-)
One thing I've been meaning to get around to is improving my pictures area. I'm close to having a Cocoa-based tool that automatically does the thumbnailing and Web page generation in a way that I like. But getting that fully working will have to wait for the next bout of insomnia... :-)
