The downloadable package comes in two formats:
as icon resources — suitable for pasting onto your own files via Finder

Back when I released this icon set, there wasn't yet much information available on producing icons in Mac OS X's new format, so I also released the production source files in the hope that they'd be instructive. Nowadays they're less useful in light of all the great info that's widely available, but they're still here. If you're feeling even mildly adventurous, you can easily use them to create an icon with your own screen image in place of the several I selected.
I did the original work in Paint Shop Pro 5.01, whose layer and transparency model I was more familiar with at the time, then exported the PSP file to Photoshop, which I used to save out the .tiff files. (I was using a Windows PC then. I no longer own one now. :-)
Here's the Paint Shop Pro 5.01 file, and here's the Photoshop 5.0 file I exported from PSP.
Tips on usage are included with both.
