things happen! Jana Lehmannova and Travis Winkler, two
people from different sides of the planet, have brought
their talents together to form
Pigeon Flicks, a production
company dedicated to exploring the world with cameras in
tow, capturing images of anything and everything they can,
offering a revealing look at our world through their own
unique perspectives.
Pound
for pound, the Pigeon is one of the smartest and most
physically adept creatures in the animal kingdom,
hence
Pigeon Flicks. A fitting
moniker for two itinerants wandering the planet in search
of unusual people, images, and experiences to share through
the medium of filmmaking. Scavengers of life experience!
Together, Travis
and Jana conceive, shoot, edit, and finalize all of their
own projects, and a large portion of that is done while
still on the journey! Guerilla filmmaking at its purest.
Jana
Lehmannova is from the capital city of Prague in the Czech
Republic. She is an accomplished world-traveler,
photographer, and filmmaker. After graduating from Charles
University, Jana entered the Maritime Industry, working for
the past 5 years as a crew member on various sailing
vessels, thereby gaining the opportunity to explore the
globe and capture life around the world through her
camera’s lens. This unique lifestyle has provided her
with an uncommon and fascinating outside-the-box way of
viewing our world, making her an invaluable part of this
production duo.
Travis Winkler, currently a resident of Orlando, Florida,
comes from a background of street performing. After
“sharpening his chops” on the streets of
Nashville, TN and attending Regent University for graduate
studies in film, he entered the world of acting, working in
everything from feature and independent films to
children’s television and commercials, both
nationally and internationally. Travis then began shooting
and editing his own short films, eventually becoming a
certified trainer for Apple Computer’s professional
production software suite in the process, as well as
directing for commercial clients.
As a team, Jana
and Travis are dedicated to the vision of revealing the
world through their own personalities and perspectives,
giving the stories a distinct flavor with a touch of humor
not often found in these kinds of projects.
