My birthday

24...

My birthday was just great. We had a gig with The Deaf Nun in Herentals in some popular bar and it was awesome! The next day we went to the fair with the whole crew (pitty that our guitar player Luc and my brother Kristof weren't there) and rode the bumper cars!

By the way, I know that this entry is posted a little bit late, but I had to put TriMicSlots on top for a while ;-)

Oh-ow... off to work now...

Tiger's coming

Longhorn's not (yet)

As read on one of the pages of MSNBC:

"Though conceding that tardiness is a problem, Allchin contends that the breadth of Longhorn makes it a much weightier project than Tiger, which he describes as "a peripheral to the iPod." Furthermore, he suggests that some of Apple's ideas (like the Dashboard mini-programs) were inspired by early demos of Longhorn."

My opinion is that even if they should have copied the Dashboard feature, they're already done with it, before Micro$oft can even provide a beta version of their operating system. So eventually it's a pretty lousy accusation...

K.S.A. Gokart Race

A complete success!

As I predicted, my girlfriend's youth movement's annual gokart race was a big success. Last year it was fine, this year it already was awesome. And I'm not only talking about the race itself: the after-party drew much more attention than they initially expected.

So: my prediction for the next year is even better: more teams, more people and an even bigger after-party!

Got ya...

;-)

Most of the readers of this blog think they already know what I'm going to post next.

So, therefore, I'm going to post that tomorrow ;-)

Have fun!
Jasper.

Tram

Broken...

A faulty cable made me come late today at "work". I was sitting in a tram listening to my iPod when the tram suddenly stopped! Some of the electric cables were broken and we were told that it could take at least one hour... Okay, when thát company says at least one hour it means at least two hours :-s Anyway, I've arrived at work now and they didn't mind I was late so... no problem!

A disaster

And more...

Zwijndrecht All Stars SUCKED BIGTIME! There are many reasons why I'm saying this:

1. Because the P.A. decided to arrive 3 hours later as planned, the audience had to wait for more than an hour and we didn't get any good sound check.

2. Ask the P.A. to turn up the monitor volume and he turns it down.

3. Ask the P.A. to turn down the monitor volume and he turns it up.

4. During the only two piano ballads I must have played many mistakes: they just shut off my monitor during performance!!!

5. During our performance with Striking Distance I was able to hear one instrument: myself! Our guitar player didn't even hear himself! He now refuses to ever play again with this P.A. and I have to say that I'm thinking the same here.

6. We've wasted so many hours on rehearsing... and for what?

Current mood: dejected, furious, disillusioned and vindicatory.

Vacation's over

Pitty...

Well, I had a good vacation. I enjoyed the things I did together with my girlfriend and I enjoyed working on our yet-to-be-released-for-beta slots game. Tomorrow my training period starts again and it stops somewhere at the end of May. Then my final month in school finally kicks off - I'm assuming that I don't have any re-examinations (let's call that wishful thinking). I don't even know whether I should be optimistic or scared to death because there are too few jobs for the moment. Let's say I'm in an "I don't know and I don't care" mood (interpret this as a good thing).

Cheers!

It's been a while

Sorry for that!

Long time no see!

We're working here on something that may be called thé most addictive Mac Game ever made, and since I'm busy debugging and optimizing, I neglected my blog entries. Again, sorry for that, but it'll be worth it the time our product is finished.

We're by the way searching for beta testers for the game, so if you're interested, just send me a mail. Beta testing implies: looking for bugs in the beta stage (or in other words: playing the game until something unexpectedly happens) + getting a FREE copy of the game when it's declared Gold Master.

The rebirth of TriangleJuiceBlog…

Hi,

yeah… I missed you guys too!
Anyway, from this day off: new entries!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, but there are also some new posts on earlier dates (between 2005/01/21 and 2005/03/06). It's not much (only important stuff), but at least you'll know what was on my mind the past two months.

Old cars go…

… new cars come!

Old car (picture taken after I got rear-ended):

New car:

It hasn't got all the nifty features like my Mazda, but at least I've got a car!
Thanks to mum and dad!
