Nice present for Valentine's Day

Today I got rear-ended - I learned that word via iChat! - while driving on the ring road of Antwerp. These were the circumstances:
- rainy day
- traffic jam
- me driving 30 km/h
- drunk Frenchman driving 140 km/h

A follow-up of the events:
- me looking in my mirror and seeing that a car is approaching to quickly
- me speeding up to 40 km/h
- crash boom bang
- hit and run
- me standing in the rain calling the police

Apparently the guy who was driving behind the Frenchman, saw that I was alright and followed the Frenchman. And so the police tracked the guy down (via his license plate).

Consequences:
- a whiplash for me
- no car anymore… goddamn I loved that car (Mazda 626, 1989)
- a major fine for the guy: causing an accident, being drunk, hit and run, …
