Coming back from Germany

Matthias and Silke are married!

We made it! Almost everything went smoothly as planned. With almost I mean only two things went wrong:
1. When we left here in Belgium the annoying wheel noise I talked about in the previous post started again. But we decided to go on to Brussels and, if the noise didn't stop by then, to turn back. And yes... when we came to the ring-road of Brussels the noise suddenly stopped and we didn't have any problem until 2 kilometers before Donzdorf (where Matthias and Silke live).
2. We took a wrong turn to the left and got stuck with our car in the snow (about 15 centimeters thick). The problem was that we couldn't turn back because the road was to small there. So we had to drive backwards for over a kilometer!

The wedding was the next day. First they had to take some photos (I assisted them and also took some shots with Matthias' camera). Then everyone went to the town's hall where bride and groom both said "yes, I do" (fortunately). Next to the town's hall there was the restaurant - the food was terrific by the way! In the restaurant there was another present waiting for us: they told everyone that they were going to have a baby 'round July (2005)! Unfortunately the world rests on balances and about 1 hour after they got married someone called Matthias' mother to say that their grandmother was passed away. They knew it was going to happen one of that days, but they had hoped to see her once more after the wedding.

The trip back was ok - except for the continuous rain - and I'm writing this post back home now. This is my first friend that gets married and I wish both of them a pleasant marriage. I already knew long before their wedding that they were made for each other!
