Who is Eligible for Membership?
Any woman 18 years of age or older - regardless
of race, religion or ethnic background - who can prove lineal descent
from a Patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership.

About the Felix LaBauve Chapter
Our chapter was organized September 25, 1975, in Walls, MS.
Col. Felix LaBauve, originally from Vauziers, France, came to
DeSoto County in 1836. He was in the mercantile business and
studied law, but was better known as the editor of The Phoenix, an
early DeSoto County newspaper, now known as the DeSoto Times Today.
He served in the Mississippi House of Representatives and Senate
and as clerk of DeSoto County. Above is a photo of his
home, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and
is now occupied as a private home.

Meetings
Felix LaBauve Chapter meets four times a year, with one workshop for officers.
The DAR Insignia is the property of, and is copyrighted by, the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
