MacQuarium Enlightened: ![]()
Everyone loves Macs, right? And everyone loves fish, right? So what's better than Macs and fish? Nothing! Come one, come all, see my endeavors to make unusable computer parts into quite useable aquariums. Thrill to the 512k MacQuarium. Ooooo and aaaaaah to the Two-Page MacQuarium. Enjoy the MacQuarium Plus at Rebecca's house. Admission is affordable, satisfaction is almost guaranteed!
The Original MacQuarium
No good Mac Geek is complete without at least one MacQuarium. At least, that's what I though around February of 1997. So, I grabbed a copy of Andy Ihnatko's classic document, The Original MacQuarium, and set to work.
The results of this endeavor can be seen on the MacQuarium 512K page.
The Two-Page MacQuarium
Not content to have a single small-screened MacQuarium, I undertook the monumental task of turning an Apple Two-Page Monochrome Monitor into a MacQuarium. Over the length of this endeavor, I learned a fair amount about working with acrylic, and general fishie well-being.
Enjoy the intro, and 5-page saga that is the Two-Page MacQuarium.
Rebecca's MacQuarium Plus
For my girlfriend's birthday in 1999, I made her a MacQuarium from a Mac Plus. This time I went the acrylic route, not the original glass construction. No videos of construction this time, but I do have a nice picture or two. I may modify the tank construction for better lighting placement, but we shall see.
Off to the MacQuarium Plus!
