The Two-Page MacQuarium
On April 24th, 1998, I got my hands on an old Apple 2-page Monochrome monitor, 21" diagonal screen. This was to become my new MacQuarium. I had seen an example of this being done on Jim Lower's MacQuarium Page. "If he can do it, I can do it," I though. My (intended) design will differ a bit from Jim's, since I want to be able to keep the top of the case on (for maximum realism). And, I intend to have all the pumps and whatnot in an old Mac II case that I have, which will fit perfectly under the monitor base.
Construction
For your viewing enjoyment, I'm taping the construction of this tank. I have it broken up by day:
Day 1: That which is inside.
Day 2: The MacQuarium 20" is Not 8-bit Clean
Day 3: Oh God! He's got a blowtorch!
Day Unknown: After many unsuccessful attempts at finishing the construction of the tank, I have admitted defeat with this run, and will be attempting construction again with a fresh sheet of acrylic. Hopefully in the coming months (May of 1999?) I'll be able to finish construction.
Day Unknown + a few days: It only took a year to do this?
Finally done!: See the totally finished product, fully assembled and happy.
