Mac Note

Links

I won't try and provide an exhaustive set of links here; there are other pages that do a much better job at that. But here's some of the interesting ones I've found.

  • Apple Computer: Can't have a Mac-stuff page without a link to the mother ship.
  • MacAddict: The only computer magazine I still pay for a subscription to.
  • MacSurfer: One of many web pages that has lots of good news links.
  • SiteLink: The self-proclaimed "Best of the web for the Mac".
  • The Mac Advocate: A good source of QuickTime movies of old Apple commercials.
  • The Apple Collection: An interesting collection of Apple stuff.
  • Red Light Runner: An online store with all the Apple paraphenalia you'll need (including cool "Moof!" t-shirts!)
  • Apple Spec Online: Apple's official database of all Macintosh models.
  • MPW Toolzone: The official web page for Apple's MPW development environment.
  • MacApp: Apple's MacApp framework homepage.
  • Developer Documentation: Inside Mac online.
  • MacApp and MPW: Directions and patches for using MacApp 13 with MPW., thanks to Yoshida-san.

Software

Currently there's more software in the works than there is finished product. But the Binary Clock project has come to fruition, so I'll start my world-domination with that.

  • Binary Clock: Available in System 5 friendly version, and an enhanced version for machines with Color QuickDraw.
  • Login Sounder: A System Preferences PrefPane that allows you to select a sound to play when you log in (like putting a SND in the Startup Items folder in OS 9). Download the DMG and follow the directions in the ReadMe file.
    • V.1.1.1: 1/14/2003
    • V.1.1: 12/17/2002
  • BikeBlog: Blogging software for your bike rides. Record interesting things that happened when you were out and about, and publish your blog to your .Mac account, or your hard drive.
AppleScript Maybe some of my AppleScripts will be useful to you? You never know!
