All About My Gecko

Geckos are neat. They are reptiles and live in cages and sometimes in the wild. A gecko can live to be over 20 years old when it is born. After it is born, it will live progressively less. They like to sleep, eat, sleep, climb on things, sleep, and reproduce.

Zenith likes to stand around

My gecko's name is Zenith. We think she's about 4 or 5 months old. For simplicity's sake, we're saying 5 months. That means we made her birthday May 21st, 2002. Presents and crickets can be sent on her birthday and will be eaten.

Zenith likes to sleep in her cave. Sometimes she comes out, but not much. She lives in the GeckoVision. She climbs on things, and looks around, and wonders why she can't get out of her Plexiglas enclosure. I have tried to explain it to her, but I don't think she's really paying attention.

When she comes out, she can have grand adventures in her tank

The GeckoVision was built by myself and Rebecca. It's basically an old TV console that didn't have anything in it. We built the tank out of Plexi, and used some spare parts from another TV to finish off the illusion.

Inside the GeckoVision we have lights to keep Zenith warm, and switches on the back to control them. The left side of the GeckoVision has a convenient storage area that we keep crickets, cricket dust, and other useful things. That way Zenith doesn't spend all her time looking at the crickets, wondering when she'll get to eat them.

Keep stuff safe in the included storage compartment! Also useful for hiding wiring and switches.

People aren't the only ones who like geckos. Our cats are interested in them too. Tira likes to sit close to the GeckoVision, watching Zenith. She needs to watch out, or she's going to ruin her eyes.

Tira's going to need glasses before too long

We intend to get Zenith a friend in the coming months. We'll let Zenith get comfortable in her home, and with us. Then we'll mix things up a bit!
