About me
Hi, my name is Tony S. Wu. I'm currently a student in Bellevue Community College, major in music. Welcome to my music résumé site.

I've been learning music since 1st grade, and that's when I started playing my major instrument - violin. I've worked really hard on it during the past of my life. I practiced whenever I can. I held a lot of concerts during my study at high school. I just simply love playing violin. So when it comes to violin performance, I'm always the first in my school.

Unlike most of the other students, I like to try out different things. For example, I formed a piano trio when I was in 10th grade. My classmates were like "Man, you are out of your mind." And my partners didn't really want to participate in the beginning, either. Plus I "happened" to pick a really challenging piece as our first program. But after 1 year of struggling, practice, and preparation, we became a hit. We performed at my school and Tainan Art College. Our teachers loved the performance and couldn't talk enough about it, so did our classmates. We also recorded a CD (you can find it in my work). The cellist in my piano trio (who is now studying in Pibadi) once told me he really appreciates me for giving him the opportunite to set his foot in a completely different area than solo performance. He said it gave him the extra experience which other students normally don't have.

I also took part in our school orchestra. Although it's a requirement, most of the students didn't really take it very seriously. They think all they have to do is take care of their solo instrument. So they didn't really care about stuffs that has nothing or a little to do with their solo instrument. While my opinion is you can learn from everything, and they will help you someday even if they seem useless right now. So I also put a lot of efforts in practicing the program and rehersaling with the orchestra. As soon as I entered 11th grade, I was granted to be the principle of the first violin in our orchestra.

Right now I am studying in Bellevue Community College. Although I am still major in music, I'm looking for other interests, which is part of the reason I didn't want to go to other big music colleges. I start to compose, which is something I have NEVER thought about it during my past 13 years of study with music. I've always thought about it as a different field than performance. However, my current music theory teacher in B.C.C. is really changing me. And I am doing some computer stuffs, too. (find out more in my computer résumé site). Like programming, oh my favorite.

I've always wanted to be a good performer. And I am doing my best trying to achive that. Music has been a major part of my life in the past, and it will continue to be that way for probably the rest of my life, no matter what...
