Greetings all. The London trip was a smash hit. We had an amazing time trapsing through the place where a lot of our favorite things were made and/or born, and I will soon be sharing some extensive notes and thoughts with you about the experience. I'm still getting over the jet lag, which seemed to affect me more on the way home than while I was over there. I do hope to get over this small spell of laziness.
There is so much to report on, and we've got tons of pics to share, some of which are already up at the Member pages. I plan to put up some galleries for the general public readership very, very shortly.
In the meantime, I can report that our trip included miles of walking through central London, viewing several of the famous sites and experiencing a new view of life from an insider's point of view. We viewed some of the country side, and visited an actual cricket match. We trod the places where the Beatles had trod. And we saw several of the West End's big hit shows, including Billy Elliot, The Woman In White, Guys and Dolls, and Mary Poppins. Extended thanks to Steve and Erika and Tim for making the trip so extra memorable. (We couldn't have done it without you, Steve!)
Since I'm a frequent poster at various Disney-related forums, I have reviewed the new stage production of Mary Poppins first off, and have included the (wordy) review here for those of you who might be interested.
Stay tuned for more pics and stories as soon as I get a chance to sit and write and post them. There's no place like London!
