 My sister Lillie wrote in with some more memories of our Grandmother:
Hey kid, thanks for the memory of grandma. It is very special to view her as a strong and spunky lady. Although in later years I had not seen her, I always remembered and prayed for her always. She was a strong force in my younger years (she "baby-sat " me up until the age of about 12. Ironically, I always used to measure my height against hers saying I was almost up to her shoulder (when I was five and six and seven). Although I "outgrew" grandma in height, I don't think I even reached an inch as to how special she was and what she had to endure and what she accomplished in her life. May she rest in peace always -- as she will always be in my heart! love ya Lil |
