The Producers.

A few years ago, there was a craze on Broadway. A show that everyone had to see, no matter what. Everyone had to get a ticket to the ultimate show, because if you hadn't seen it, then you hadn't truly visited New York. Many years ago, that was probably "A Chorus Line". Some time later it was "Cats". Everyone had to see "Cats" when they came to the city. Didn't matter if they understood "Cats". Didn't matter if they liked the music. Didn't matter that the tickets cost a fortune and were hard to get, this was the show they just HAD to see, because, well... Everyone said you had to.

The "Must-See" show of the past few years was undoubtedly, "The Producers". But I must honestly say, without the original stars (Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane), or big name replacements, "The Producers" becomes just another show. Just another show about crazy people, people of a certain religious faith, and people of a certain discrimination. Well produced scenes. Not really my cup of tea. I prefer Rock and Roll in my shows. This show was too old fashioned for my tastes. Well done. But just a little sour.

But at least we can join the millions who say--- "We saw "The Producers".

You can, too. Check out their official site. I think it says it all.
