Some folks might wonder why anyone would want to look at video on the new iPod, since it's only on a 2&1/2" screen.
Well, I'll tell you. If you're on the go, and don't have time to actually sit and watch things on your nice comfy tv in your livingroom, this new gadget gives you the opportunity to view it from wherever you happen to be.
Even better, saves you money on installing DVD players for your car passengers.
Case in point: We were out in Scranton visiting Amneris' parents this weekend. Usually she brings along a whole slew of DVD's, but since she recently backed up a lot of her favorite programs onto her new iPod (yes, she has one, also), she was able to bring that and instantly hook it right up to her folk's tv set, where the whole family could enjoy the BritCom we were watching all at once.
And at one point, we had some shopping to do at night. As we drove around the hills of Scranton, her folks were heartily entertained by the same show, as they watched via iPod in the back seat. Very neat.
And lately, I finally found a way to catch up with watching the stuff I've bought or received as gifts - during my lunch hour! It's wonderful to be able to sit in a corner and watch a program of your choosing, rather than what's on the cafeteria screen.
So, there are definite plusses to having your video with you. In your pocket at all times.
