What the heck is it about Apple products that makes one so freaky and geeky? This week, Apple introduced, after long speculation and request, a New iPod that is capable of showing Video. This little tidbit made the cover of the Newspapers here in NY! I'm not sure why anyone else cares about this, but speaking as an owner of the first and second generation iPods that only held up to 10 gig of music, I've been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to upgrade to a new and better iPod for some time.
In fact, a couple of weeks ago, my iPod was giving me odd problems that I was certain was caused by the older battery in it (It was a 2003 model). I didn't think it would make it with me to England, but I struggled with it, since I knew an Apple announcement was imminent (I was correct about that, but fortunately the announcement was for the cute but not practicle for me iPod nano, the bite-sized digital music player. I have way too much music and audio programs for that little thing, cute as it is). But fortunately, with a software update, my iPod came back to life, and I've been using it even more than usual for just about everything, lately. I've grown fond of the thing.
I'm not in an immediate rush to upgrade except for the fact that I do need a larger capacity player, and as a visual person, to have the ability to view videos on the device, is absolutely devine).
Thankfully, they came out with this just before my birthday. Gotta keep hinting at the Ms., except that she's been angling for one of her own for a while.
All I know is.. I gotta get me one of them! Not really sure why. Just have to:
