When I get the chance to write about them, I'll offer some thoughts on the books (both hardcover and virtual (audio) ) that I recently read (or heard. From this point on, the term "read", in the past tense, could mean either). For a preview - a couple of them are current best-sellers:
The DaVinci Code - the controversial thriller, still a best-seller, and perhaps the most exciting story I've read in a long time.
Angels and Demons - Never mind the awful title. It's not a horror book. Unbeknownst to many, this is actually the "prequel" to The DaVinci code. Equally as engaging. Pretty thrilling.
Deception Point - Once I got through Dan Brown's latest two books, I wanted more, and am currently in the midst of one of his early works.
My Life - I love certain history books, and it's even better when the historical subject himself is not only telling the story, but reading it.
A Short History of Nearly Everything - Every now and then a Space/Science related book pops into my consciousness. Did I mention that Art/Science/and American History were my favorite subjects in School?
John Adams - an engaging biography of the second President of the United States.
I hope to be posting my further thoughts on these very soon. In the meantime, all of the above (with the exception of "Deception Point", which I'm still in the midst of) are recommended as interesting reads, so go read them ! (Or, have them read to you ). I'll tell you why I found them interesting next time around.
