I had to take a moment out to send out thoughts to those affected by the killer hurricane, Katrina, which has devasted a large chunk of New Orleans, Louisiana and left thousands stranded, hungry and even worse --dead. The sight of people lost - waiting for buses-- wandering without homes - without being able to even mourn with someone over their loss- is truly staggering, and causes one to reflect on the good things that life does bring to us.
Every day we're alive and are able to live comfortably is a blessing. Give thanks for it. And let's hope that the people affected by this storm will find recovery soon. |
