Hacking my new iBook to support Dual Displays



After my trusty old PowerBook G4 broke, ULTRALAB very kindly bought me a new iBook G4 800, this machine is equal or in some cases better than my old PB except for one feature, it doesn't support dual displays (only mirroring). You can see why Apple don't want to enable this feature to differentiate the iBook from the PowerBook, but for me its just a pain. Or at least it was.... With this simple and reversible Open Firmware hack, you can enable proper dual display support too.

*Note* I don't accept responsibility for you rendering your iBook screen unusable yada yada etc etc.
