I saw on one of the blogs I visit someone being called an "Emo Kid" I had no idea what an Emo Kid was so I did a quick google and found the definition. Now I'm not calling anyone an Emo Kid I just thought the explanation of what an Emo Kid is was funny. If you're like me and wondered what an Emo Kid is here is what I found out. Again this is not intended to offend anyone.

<colgroup> <col width="582.666521" /> </colgroup>

You see them lurking in chat rooms, making fun of those who like mainstream music. You see them on message boards, shamelessly promoting their favorite indie bands and projecting an elitist attitude toward everyone who doesn't like those bands. You even stumble upon their Livejournals sometimes, and after reading two or three entries, discover that they'd love to have you think that their lives are the most tragic things in existence. Yes, they are emo kids, and their proliferation of the internet is becoming more and more alarming each day; there is nothing we can do to stop the influx. So why not take the easy way out and become one? You'll be respected and even admired among your emo contemoporaries, but only if you follow a certain set of unspoken rules. Break any of them and you'll be called a "poseur" faster than you can come up with a screename that has too many X's. First, let's look at the basics:

The Basics

Follow these guidelines and you'll be well on your way to being the first emo kid on the block:

1. Obtain a pair of black, thick-rimmed eyeglasses. Wear them at all times. Take multiple pictures of yourself wearing them with your webcam, and make sure to tilt them on your nose in a few of the pictures. Look as forlorn and desperate as possible in the pictures. If you know how, apply a few basic Photoshop filters to your images to give them an old, worn-out, decidedly "emo" look.

2. Obtain a Livejournal at all costs. This requires you to get a "code" from a current Livejournal user. If necessary, beg, plead, and offer sexual favors. Once you've secured a code, get someone else to design your journal or steal a design from someone else. When choosing a username, make sure it alludes to self-mutilation and has lots of X's in it.

3. Register an AIM screename. Again, it should optimally allude to self-mutilation and have multiple X's. Some examples: "x hidden scars" or "death x becomes x her." It is also acceptable to use the word "core" liberally in your name, such as "girl x core" or "loser x core." Once you've registered a screename, frequent the AIM chat rooms and talk about how much better your taste in music is than everyone else's. If someone mentions Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes/Desaparecidos, you MUST say "Conor is so hot. He rox my sox. RawR."

4. Sexuality. If you aren't already, you must become bisexual or homosexual. Sorry folks, this rule is not negotiable.

Congratulations! You're well on your way to becoming an emo kid.

The day I have been looking for finally arrived. I was finally, after years of trying, given the title of Death Knight. Now I have to tell something. I was really looking forward to leveling. I mean it was all I was thinking about especially for the last 5%. I thought when I hit 52 that would be the ultimate high. But something very different happened. Don't get me wrong, the level up was great but I discovered something immediately afterward. Particlebeam said he would have fireworks in Giran. I arrived expecting to see him there. To my surprise, all of Protoss II was there. It suddenly occurred to me that leveling up was not the greatest honor in lineage. The best thing in lineage was the out-poring of support by your pledge and other players in the game. I was overwhelmed by all the congratulations I received from everyone. This was far and away the best part about the game. I want to thank all of Protoss II for your show of support. You all have been a great pledge to be associated with. Thank you Comah for allowing me to be a member of your pledge.

I want to thank my old pledge Electron. You all have been fantastic friends, pledge-mates, and supporters over the years. Thank you Magnetik for the congratulations you extended me upon leveling. You are a great prince and I'm honored to have been in your pledge.

Thank you Particlebeam for the party and all the encouragement. Few people in the game I admire and enjoy associating with as much as I do you.

To Mercyless. A big thank you for asking me to be in Protoss II. It's been a pleasure hunting and chatting with you.

A HUGE thank you has to go to my great Australian friend HoodooGuru/Dissident. I wouldn't be anywhere without your help and support. You have helped me with everything from leveling to purchasing items. I am forever in your debt. You have been a tremendous help to me. Thank you my friend.

I would also like to thank a few people whom (or is it who?) I no longer see. SirGandolph I miss you man. Thanks for all the good times and great hunts. Hyppolyta I enjoyed our talks and our Honeymoon! Melenko wish you were here. You are a great player of the game and I enjoyed our hunts and conversation.

I know I'm missing some people but I do want to thank all the players for your support.

I was playing Lineage the other day and my friend ParticleBeam logged on. He asked me if I wanted to see his new pet. I said sure and went to oren to check it out. Well when he evolved his pet bear something strange happened. The thing kept getting bigger and bigger!. It wouldn't stop evolving! When ever it got angry it would get huge and totally out of control. I think it may have gotten an overdose of gamma radiation. Part finally had to put it out of its misery. I took a few screen shots after he killed it.

Andy the next time you go into the woods to take pictures remember these pictures!

For those of you interested in the real story

Check out the size of the paw in relation to the guy's head!!!

This bear was killed down on Hitchenbrook Island by an airman
stationed at Elmendorf.

The bear measured 12' 6" and was estimated at over 1600lbs.
The guy was walking to his hunting area and the bear stood up
only 35 yards away.
