My last study of
floor-feeding bio-technic vegetation in Maya 4.0.
There's only 1 illuminating
light in the scene. All actual lighting has been done through tweaking
of incandescence maps.

The mosaic texture
on the ceiling is an image of a real lily, piped through a Maya MEL-expression
shading network. I've rewritten this shader as a first exercise in Renderman.
