Audrey came first, I don't think she will let Kaley forget it. She loves to care for her little sister.

If their personalities and temperments continue this course, I'd say Audrey will change the world for good and Kaley will enjoy it thoroughly.

Ideal Leadership Role:

Preach and teach the word of God as a lead pastor or member of teaching team.

Shape and implement the vision of a church intent upon expressing the love of Christ in their community, embodying the joy of Christ in their fellowship and conveying the message of Christ with hope to the next generation.

Lead a team-oriented ministry that develops servants who minister out of their strengths and gifts to accomplish a shared vision.

Dream Life:

Pour my life into a community of faith that infuses the world with the grace and truth of Jesus Christ. (Matt. 5:16, John 1:15-17)

Raise my children to be life giving followers of Jesus who know the value of being good for nothing and are dangerous for all the right reasons. (Lk. 6:35, Matt. 6:1, Matt. 16:18)

Spend long sunny Saturdays with my family in the woods, on the mountain or around the water.

Serve God along side good friends who give their all to make the world a better place for Jesus sake.

Master the lost art of the long meal with friends and strangers. (Lk. 7:34-36, Lk. 10:5-8, Matt. 26:26)

Moments Worth Painting

June 12th 1999, the birth of my daughters, catching a 26 inch Rainbow on #22 fly, eating lunch at Pastor Ramirez house in Oaxaca Mexico, hearing my daughter say I'd be "in her heart forever", bashing through shoulder deep powder at Wolf Creek without a snorkel, experiencing "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" performed live with my wife Carmen, seeing my good friend Kevin return from Iraq alive and whole, Audrey fishing with me at my parents pond

The love of my life is Carmen. I think her beauty and intelligence is only exceeded by her character.

She left the halls of academia to follow her heart more deeply into the lives of our children and ministry.

Maybe someday Dr. Schabel will return but for now, she loves being "mommy."
