"212" - Feature Best Light Dailies - S16mm
212 PRODUCTIONS
Three sets of urbanites, living in matchbox
apartments and working mundane jobs, struggle to connect with each other in New
York City. Through pre-destined meetings and ill-fated misses, they try to
overcome the obstacles to finding love in the digital
age.

Nearly all lighting was with practicals; exposures were usually set to 2/3 over, intending to let the highlights blow. The script called for three primary looks that were achieved in color correction. The highlights were treated separately and given a soft shoulder allowing for more latitude in the mid-tones to create this rich look. |
