London Marathon
Three weeks to go!
Three weeks to go to the big day and all is going ok. Last week I completed two half marathons plus a couple of more gentle runs. This week I'll keep up the pace - this is the last week before I begin to taper down to the 23rd.

Less than a month to go ....
With less than a month to go things are looking okay for the marathon. Prep is now, more or less, back on track - and I now feel confident that I can at least get around.

So, I have two or three more long runs - one of them a 20m. Then a gentle taper off into to the big weekend.
Sorry to be quiet!
Sorry that nothing has been posted for a while - obviously I have been too busy in marathon prep.

Will catch up soon!

A bit of the same
Did my Battersea and Millbank run at the of the day - fun but chilly.
Gentle lunchtime run
Didn't have a lot of time today but did manage to do 35 minutes at lunch. A nice run past Battersea and back through Pimlico. I didn't see a whale!

Whale of a time
I never say that running is dull. This is partly because I do most of my running in central London. It is very unusual to go out and not see something or meet someone of interest. On Friday though it was very unusual to say to the guys in the office – ‘Hey, I just saw a whale by Battersea Power Station!’ But that is want happened.

Unfortunately, the story doesn’t have a happy ending. See the
whale story here.
Today I saw David Cameron
So, today I managed to get out of bed good and early to do 1 hour 4 minutes of on of my favourite routes - the Three Parks. One of the reasons that I love this route is that it is never 'just a run'. I always see something or someone to make it interesting. Today, it was David Cameron, cycling into work and to become the new leader of the Conservative Party. His trip to work would have been carbon neutral, if the BBC had not helpfully provided a helicopter for film his (not my) progress.

The story so far .......
I have begun to get organized now to begin training for the London Marathon.
