I DID IT - the Flora London Marathon that is - not 4 hours. But I did manage to beat my time - by a whole minute. Not bad for an old bloke! Thanks to all - especially my top support team Si and Toby.

See you next year ..... may be. Click here for pics......

This website enables you to follow my preparation for a 4 hour London Marathon in 2006. It will be my second London Marathon and this time I hope to be better prepared. In 2005 I finished in a respectable time of 4:14 - but in 2006 I really want to get around in 4 hours. I know I'm not likely to win - but hey, that's not the point.

I am a very passive member of the Serpentine Running Club - mainly because they have a fantastic website, which is full of brilliant stuff. I'm sorry that I've never turned up at any events! However, I do use many of the suggested routes. My favorite is the Three Parks Daylight route. It's a route I try and do each week and it fabulous!
